Head & eye protection

Helmets, goggles, face shields and welding goggles guard against different hazards, so one item rarely covers every task. Indian Standards exist for safety helmets (IS 2925) and eye protection (IS 5983); check the current editions. Specify helmet shell type and suspension, chin strap need, lens type, anti-fog or scratch-resistant coating, whether the risk is impact, splash or arc glare, and whether eyewear must fit over prescription glasses.
