Tool accessories

How a toolkit is carried, powered and maintained comes down to its accessories. Tool boxes and tool belts are specified by size, compartment layout and material, plastic or metal. Extension cords need particular care: state the length, conductor size in square millimetres and number of sockets, and match the rating to the tool load and the environment, especially outdoors or on damp sites. Sharpening kits extend the working life of chisels, blades and bits between replacements.
